Let’s start. CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is a powerful tool. Give someone a fighting opportunity when their hearts stop beating. It is not rocket science, anyone can learn how to do it.

Start with the basics. Check if person is responding. If they are not responding, call 911 right away. Put your hands on their chests and squeeze hard and quickly. Try to push as fast as you can, while keeping the beat of Bee Gees song “Stayin’ alive”. That song’s rhythm works perfectly for chest compressions.

Now, let’s talk about the mouth-tomouth resuscitation. In some situations, it may be necessary to perform mouth-tomouth resuscitation. Cover their mouth and pinch their nostrils shut. Give two breaths for every 30 compressions.

If you want to learn more about first aid, it’s much more than just sticking on a bandage. Imagine you and your hiking buddies are on a hike when someone trips over an object, gashes his leg open. It’s a bloody mess! Do not panic and grab your first aid kits.

The wound can be cleaned gently with water, no soap required. Apply pressure to stop the blood flow using a clean towel or bandage. Elevate the injured part if at all possible. This will slow down the blood flow.

To cool burns quickly, use the rhyme “Cool it Quick.” Pour at least ten min, apply cool water (not ice cold) to the burn. Avoid ice as it may cause more harm than good.

Ever seen someone choke to death on their dinner? This is scary! The Heimlich move can save your life. Standing behind them, you should wrap your arms around the waist of the patient, then make a fist right above their navel and push inwards and upwards until they cough whatever is stuck up.

Accidents can happen to children too! You need to take special care of them for everything from bees stings or scraped up knees. Clean
